Don’t Worry ‘Bout It Presents:The Yuletide Ball//DWBI’s 1st Bday
Nobody ever likes to have their birthday in December for obvious reasons, you only get one present! But to hell with that notion because we at Dont Worry ‘Bout It don’t need material gifts, you guys, the great party goers of the Boro, are the real gift.
So to celebrate 1 year of Dont Worry Bout It parties, we’re gonna host a deadly session in the upstairs loft of The Lighthouse, a place where in the last year we have hosted parties we never believed were possible in Dun Laoghaire, thanks again to you guys.
On the night we have a beefed up bill of top quality DJ’s, with local man of Glasthule and Raidió na Life presenter Mory the Navigator aka Seán Ó Muirgheasa. Seán will bring you on a musical adventure that starts in the east of the world and paves a trail of tunes that lead the audience back home to Ireland, a pleasure to have a man so passionate about good music in the area and further afield.
Joining us on the night also we have two high quality DJ’s in the shape of Dj SPEKTAKLE and DJ Chinese Raver, both of them affiliates of the notorious Digital Indecency Crew.
Both with highly varied tastes from indie, Hip Hop to world music. Dj SPECKTACKLE with a leaning towards disco and grooves to digestible electro and 90’s house, with a grounding in Hip Hop he has a considered taste in dance music as his taste slowly evolved from other genres. Chinese raver with a taste ranging from left field to the sounds of UK electronic music.
On closing duties on the night we welcome back our good friend Alex Bazigos, Alex has played for us a number of times and trust me you won’t want to leave the room when this man steps up to hand out the sermons. This man delivers hard hitting house with some of his own productions mixed in with some serious gems, really happy to have him back with us.
Filling up the final slots we have our trusty Don’t Worry ‘Bout It DJ’s continuing their mission to command the dance floors of Dun Laoghaire, so when we say get down, you better get down.
Tickets are available online on our Resident Advisor at a cheaper rate of 6 Euro’s.
