12th Aug | Zaska w/ Corcra: Max Zaska is a guitarist, songwriter, musical director, and producer best known for his feel-good blend of modern funk, neo-soul, and indie jazz. He leads ZASKA, a supergroup of Irish talent with a changing lineup of players that started with the band’s original vocalist, Hozier.
16th Sept | Bill Withers Tribute Show: Join Dublin singer & songwriter Jesse John Heffernan & The Grandmas Hands Band perform music from the back catalogue of one of the greatest storytellers music has ever known; Bill Withers! He will be performing music of the late, great Bill Withers accompanied with the Incredible Grandma’s Hands Band; Made up of an array of Irelands finest soul / funk session players. Expect to hear hits like Lovely Day, Aint No Sunshine, Lean On Me, Use Me and many, many more!
30th Sept | Chief Keegan: Chief Keegan are an instrumental funk band from Dublin. This four piece are greatly influenced by bands like Vulfpeck,The Meters, Lettuce and Galactic. Bluesy and with a deep groove, it is music filled with funky salmony goodness. Since their formation Chief Keegans gigs of note have been playing at Knockanstockan, Bray Jazz Festival and The Cork Jazz Festival.
7th Oct | Mik Pyro: Michael Tierney, better known as Mick Pyro, is an Irish musician. He is best known as the frontman of the Dublin funk rock band Republic of Loose. He has also partaken in other independent work with fellow Irish and international musicians and performed a duet with Sinéad O’Connor . In recent years Mik has released some new material including the single ‘very strange’ in 2018 to great acclaim.
14th Oct | ULY : Uly is a solo-project born of Dublin based astrophysics graduate-turned musician/multi-instrumentalist Rafino M.J. Murphy.
Recent years saw the start of Uly; the project had been waiting to get off the ground for a long time after multiple other attempts and musical permutations fell by the wayside. Recently, Uly has been a part of many burgeoning acts based around Dublin to suit all musical tastes (INNRSPACE, Nealo, DAVIIS, Over Being Under) while also lending his ear as a producer for others (Native Ensemble/Adam Garrett, Ev Carm, Nealo).
16th Dec | Toshin : Toshín have evolved over the last four years into the vibrant 6-piece it is today. Taking inspiration from a variety of music spanning from early Motown to modern soul/RnB artists such as Tank and the Bangas and Anderson . Paak, their original songs can be put into an incredibly wide range of genres.
