5 Cafes in Dun Laoghaire that we like

We’re getting to know Dun Laoghaire well here at the Lighthouse having spent so much time in the surroundings working on the Beatyard Festival.

And sure what else would you be doing than trying out what food & coffee there is to offer. With many a lunch break we have tried many a lunchtime here.

5 CAFES in Dun Laoghaire that we like…

White Tea Rooms

We went here for the first time during the set-up for the big Beatyard. It’s perfect for a tasty soup & sambo & a cuppa joe. Our fav thing about them is their chunky brown bread and their full to the brim packed sambos. We always sit on the round table in the corner, comfy & cozy.

Curious Monkey

These guys are one of the first specialty cafes in Dun Laoghaire. Their extensive coffee menu from flat whites to cold brew & matcha lattes leaves you with plenty of choices for the perfect brew. Not to mention their porridge looks class & packed full of goodness.

Giddy Goose

Whether you want a soup & sambo for lunch or go all out brunch with buttermilk pancakes at 1pm in the day is up to what you’re feeling. The menu is filled with delicious breakfast & lunch options for any time of the day.

Two Beans

‘Because life is too short for bad coffee’ These guys say it as it should be. Another delicious spot for a coffee & chill in their window seats looking onto the mainstreet.

We know it’s a little further out but a special shoutout to Hatch serving up 3fe’s finest specialty roasted coffee right in Dublin. Three sisters who brought all their learnings from down under & Canada to open their own beloved cafe. A lovely story & lovely food & drink served.
